How degrading, you guys buy boat parts and my new toy is a "bath bench" for the shower. 2 weeks post op from my TKA, total knee, and today I was upgraded from a walker to a cane. I get to take my first shower in two weeks this afternoon. Should get a little sailing in by August.
Sorry Dave. But I CAN say, that the knee guys usually do better than the ACL folks... The wife had an ACL done 2 years ago... and the total knee people were walking better than her post-op and recovered faster. Most were at full use in 3-4 months, took her about year for full use, and they thought that was pretty good.

I'm pulling out sometime in June. Plan on going back in when it gets cooler in the fall.
I went in today. It's amazing what you can get done when you don't have to go to work. NOAA said Lake Erie is 25 inches above low water datum. I had 5.7 feet at my dock. Hope it doesn't go down too much this summer.KJ
Well, our boat is in, but not without drama: Since I was reworking the rudder, I took the pintles off. ....Forgot them at home (3 hrs away). No problem, I planned to use the outboard as the sole steering mechanism, and in the end it worked great! The hose clamp was also off to the fuel line fitting at the engine side. I was only motoring to the dock from the launch bay, I thought if the hose popped off I could easily push it back on right? Well I forgot to think about contributions to "poseiden" and in the time it took me to aim for the engine housing, pressure within the tank (maybe I could have opened the vent first....) actually popped the fitting off the hose, made an elegant arc straight into the water. With a knowing "plunk" and several seconds staring in disbelief plan b and c had been sidetracked. By the way, if anyone has a spare Honda 9.9 fuel line fitting let me know. In the end like I said the motor worked fine. The fuel line fits snugly around the carb line.

Measure your fuel line ID and let me know if you're interested. It cost me $8.
Thanks Rick, I sent you a message via forum, just get to me cost incl. shipping to that adress. If you would I am hoping for Friday or Saturday am delivery. That will allow me to get it to the boat for the holiday.
