If you wanted to relieve yourself of civilization, you could trailer over to Goodland, leave your truck and trailer at one of the marinas and head down the coast to take in the Everglades anchorages. You could even sail down to Marathon from that area.
It's a trip I would like to make if I get the time.
Northeast Florida is a great place to cruise with destinations of Cumberland Island, Fernandina, St. Augustine, Jacksonville for the 4th and its fireworks, then down the St. Johns' to Lake George and Juniper Springs for Manatee interaction. Lots of ramps and parking places available.
If you wanted to start from the Daytona Beach area I have a secure place you could store your vehicle and trailer. Personally I'd probably drive further north, say to St. Augustine, put in there and do the up and around to the St. John's, but you're welcome in my neck of the woods if that's what you decide.
