I was paddling out to Passage this weekend and noticed a guy in his boat on the dock. As I paddled up I noticed the Catalina logo then saw the 25. So I stopped to talk to the guy - he told me he used to have a sailing dinghy and bought the boat at the end of last season. He said the previous owner named her Fantasy but he said he plans to name her Isabel after his grandaughter. He said his name is Arsenio. I asked him the hull number and he said it's 1088. It's an older boat since it has air vents for the fuel tank. I mentioned the C25/250 Forum and suggested that he get involved with the group. I told him to google Catalina 25. I said he'd never regret it. Of course you never know, do you?

I guess you've ended his innocent belief that he had bought a boat he could just sail around in and otherwise forget about.
Dave Yes. to definitely ID the boat I had to see the Logo. There is a C27 and a Capri 26 in Milford, as well as several O'Days with similar lines. Unfortunately, the boat is not in pristine shape like all our boats, so the windows looked beat and the window frames were almost black and the head portlights were two-piece units that slide from side to side rather than pop open like Passage's. the bow looked different and it had cowl vents for the fuel locker.
You're right - now Arsenio will have a lot more to work to do.
