Have a 1986 Cat 25 TM, hull # 5231.

Need to replace the pop top trim...Catalina Direct sells 11 foot pieces for almost $40. 11 Feet is not long enough to do the whole thing, so need to buy two and waste most of the one.

Has anyone found an alternative? Did a search of this board but did not find anything.

I had previous model without groove for the gasket, but I used self-adhesive rubber D profile I found localy.

Worked great for foward window and poptop.

Thanks, but I mean the vinyl trim around the cabin pop-top. Actually not the top, but the area around the opening.

This stuff: http://www.catalinadirect.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display& product_ID=186& ParentCat=31

Now that would look good, but it'd be a pretty detailed job to get it to curve around and it needs a lip.

That trim serves no purpose, it is a beauty ring.

I think it hides the joint between the cabin top and the liner. Try the swap meet for someone parting out a boat.

Scott - that is what I replaced the original with, but the adhesive just doesn't hold up...Am considering another adhesive, but thought I'd ask here to see if anyone has found another alternative first.

Frank - yeah, but it sure looks bad without something.
