I spent most of last weekend making a full set of new curtains for the boat. I scanned a swatch of the fabric. The Admiral had purchased it from Hancock Fabrics for kitchen curtains but never got around to using it. It looks a lot like the upholstery facric I have seen on some late-model Catalina 250's. The old curtains were a dark blue, and were falling apart from UV-rot on the starboard side. They were so dark the cabin was like a dungeon, so I was looking for some lighter material.
Larry, Looks good. Post some pictures of the curtains.
Doug, Pretty classy!!!
Here's what we did on AKUNA MATADA.
I needed something quick and easy in getting ready for the San Juans last year so we made these with little tabs of velcro on the back. We figured they would suffice until we could make something more permanent, but they have worked out so well we just left them. We just put them on when needed.
