Whisker Pole on the back of the boom.. lines running to the rail to keep it level and in place. Main halyard pulls it up and it is also clipped to the jib halyard to keep it near the mast.

blocks the sun and pushes air down on ya...
Keeps the boat into the wind.
Small spinn not a Catalina 25 spinn.... an old spinn I had from another boat.

I added snapsshackles to the bottom of the spinn to clip to the whisker pole. Pretty easy to set.

Works well in winds of 5 or less. For the dog days of summer, while I go swimming.

Ooops, sorry.

Well... I tried a windscoop and often found little enough winds on our inland lake to make it of any real use.

I've got one of those I bought from someone else here on the forum, and I don't think I've ever used it.

I usta use them at the beach ( Gulf Coast ) and they rocked.. plenty of wind down there.. Sleep with a breeze on you.. but not as much wind inland up here. I will probably rig both this weekend.. 7 from the NE at night.. Hoping for some night sailing if I can get enough sleep this week.
