Does any one know where I can get a set of teak eyebrows for over the windows for a C25 or C27 Catalina Direct does not handle them any more. I'll send along some pic when I get Leprechaun settled in her new home on lake Wawasee. I have so much to learn about the Catalina. Alan has be a great help.

I ordered a set on the 15th from Catalina Direct. They called me on Monday and told me that they had lost their vender and it could take up to a year to set up another. So if anyone out there knows where I can get a set let me know.

It is doubtful but still a possibility that Catalina (the Mfr) may support. A few years ago, they cut a replacement port/window for me. That was probably because they have the same matl for the new boats. However, wood trim on the exterior has been mostly phased out and so that may be something they no longer support. (Go to the Catalina website and look for the EMail contact for technical support.)

If you are talking about narrow the wood trim that runs along the top of the cabin I replaced mine with white oak trim that I bought at Lowe's. I had to trim it some to size it. I just use teak oil on the wood work.

I removed mine, filled the holes and ran a 1/2" blue pinstripe in its place. To me, it looks better and zero maintenance.

On this site a fellow used some kind of plastic wood that was pre stained. He only had to stain the cut ends. It matched the teak very well. I am thinking of doing the same on my boat., I just have to find the entry.

When I originally refinished the teak, one of my eyebrows cracked and split when I removed them. I had a piece of teak that was the right size so I took the good one as a pattern and made 2 more (mirror image). I prepped them with Cetol and bedded with polysulfide and screwed them in place. They're just about identical to the originals.
