Does anyone know where you can get standing rigging for the capri 25?

I see that catalinadirect doesn't stock it, but can they make it?

shnool, I don't think there is anything special about the standing rigging. Therefore, any rigging shop can make the pieces. The trick is getting the right lengths. I've collected some data for my boat, but I won't guarantee it to anyone, don't know how much the boats could vary over the years. I don't think the rigging specs are part of the one design requirements.

Joe thanks... well I suppose come winter I could derig, and bring the components to a rigger, and say make me this...
It was easier with the Capri 22... all the stuff was pre-made.

Well chalk that up to the difference between a boat still in production and one that has been out of production for what, 25 years? Jeeze these are good ole boats. :)

I've had a local rigger replace most of my standing and running rigging. He used to work for lay line until the company moved. It made a huge difference in sail shape and my confidence that the mast will stay up. I can email you some pictures of his work but cant figure out how to post them here. His name is Bill and his number is 678-462-3499. I plan of getting the boat back into racing condition for next years Wednesday night races and will document it here and ask for advise.

Thanks

Nick

Most riggers want the original rigging so they can reproduce it as precisely as possible. You should also set the turnbuckles to where you had them when tuned, so the rigger can assure the adjustment you want. Just mark the threads at the top of the barrels before you loosen everything, or count the turns. If you're close to a limit on a turnbuckle, the rigger can modify accordingly.

Good good good.. The more sources I have for parts the better. The PO for my boat says he replaced all the standing rigging... and it's snag free for sure. I also noted that one chainplate through the deck is different than all the rest. So MAYBE it was done, but I am betting it was only repaired. Chainplates likely need all new (as do bulkheads - which are solid now, but that's really not comforting right now).

Yes I want the boat in TOP shape for next year (again)... although I have to say it's doing pretty well so far.

Scuppers need fixed for sure.
