I have a 2000 C250 WK with wheel steering and it would not fit. I was really hoping it would. I will keep looking for an alternative to just the 3.5 gallon tank, which I don't really need for our lake. We have motored for over 2.5 hours to and from another marina hoping for wind that did not come.
I purchased an addl standard fuel tank and store it in the port lazerette. I installed a vent at the rear of the lazerette. Easy to exchange and fill smaller tank. Hope no one thinks I am doing unsafe action ??

If you just drilled a hole in the inner wall, it may vent into the aft berth - very dangerous. If you drilled a second hole in the transom and ran a hose from the first hole (like is done for the factory-installed LP gas tank in the starboard locker), then you may be OK.
