The kids put too much pressure on the knob that hold up the forward fiberglass hatch on out boat and it snapped off at the end that goes between the 2 sliding parts of the arm. Anyone have a fix for this short of buying a new arm?

No ideas if the threaded part is broken. If the threaded component is intact, any knob with the same thread will work.

And if you can't find a knob, just get a wing nut and a large flat washer.

It's not the knob end that is the problem. It's the other end near the arm that broke off.

Might want to repace the entire arm assembly. Check Catalina Direct.

It is a pretty standard item that is also available at WM and other supplies.
