Looking at purchasing a C25 in need of help. Hope you all are ready for an endless stream of ?'s. First one is what type of vehicle are people hauling these with? I have an '05 Pilot. Seems borderline acceptable. Would be a couple of miles from ramp to home.

3000 lb boat, 1000 lb trailer. I don't know what the capacity of a Pilot is but if you can tow anything with it you can probably tow 5000 lbs. More critical aspect may be tongue weight, make sure your trailer is properly set up for the boat and tongue weight is in vicinity of 300 lbs. Trailer should have brakes in good working order also. Now this is just for a short haul like you said, personally I tow my boat with an F250 and for the most part don't even notice the boat behind me unless I look for it. When in doubt go slow, the faster you go the faster the situation can get out of control if something goes wrong or breaks.
Good luck.

Yep, I use a Chevy 2500... overkill, but my other TOY, is a 3 horse living quarters horse trailer (#12000).. the boat seems small behind the truck, except in size. Keep in mind the boat is 9'2" wide!

A typical half-ton truck is more than enough. A Pilot is probably fine, with the proper suspension bump. I've found the tongue weight on mine is probably closer to #400 than #300... so count on as much at #500 and you'll be fine.

By the way, ask away... if we haven't done it ourselves, we should be able to point you to someone who has! Welcome to the insanity.
