When i was at the AC Strictly Sail, i noticed that the C250 has a option for a really nice Teak and Holly Sole floring. The one at the show didn't have it but i found a picture on one that did on the internet.
My question is, did the Water ballast version have this option or is it just for the Wing Keel version?
Also, can this be added "aftermarket" by a catalina dealer?
how many of you have this floring option?
thank!!!

I have a C250 WB with the Teak/Holly sole. It is an option which can be ordered in all models. There was recently a discussion about this topic although it was somewhat different. Here is a link to it.
quote:
http://www.catalina25-250.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2604

There was some discussion as to if Catalina would sell the Teak/Holly Sole aftermarket, and I must assume nobody has asked Catalina about this yet. If you are interested call Catalina they have pretty good customer service. BTW the Teak/Holly sole is really some kind of very tough/good looking laminate. I did take a picture of the sole in my 250 and sent it to Mark Maxwell and would be happy to send you one, but I really should get better quality picture. I had some technological difficulties while taking the pictures.

H&L Marine Woodwork (213-636-1718) can help you. It seems they were Catalina's supplier for teak/holly floors. Now Catalina has gone to laminate on all their boats (with a different supplier?), and H & L is promoting their wood floors to the aftermarket crowd. Supposedly, they have templates for all the Catalina's (although the person I talked to wasn't sure if they had a template for a C250WK).

I pick up my C250WK on 3/15/03, and I'm getting the floor from H&L and putting it in myself. If I end up making the template myself, I may just buy the 3/8" veneer plywood from them, then cut it out myself.

Thanks guys!!!! the information avaiable on this board is amazing. . . . i don't know why catalina doesn't show the teak and holly sole on their web site as a model boat, it looks so nice, most companies show a loaded model for anything: cars, boats, ect. well who knows, thanks again. . .
