I am considering putting together a Lk Ontario Fleet. I am aware of 2 other LK Ontario boats in this forum. If enough of us can get together we can put together a mixed fleet of cruisers and racers and hopefully foster a stronger relationship between Catalina 25 owners on Lk. Ontario.
Geographically, I would invite any sailor living in the area governed by PHRF-LO (which includes Lake Simcoe, and a number of cottage lakes in the area) to consider this fleet as an option. In the next month, I will organize an online meeting of all interested parties in order to establish the direction and goals of the fleet.
If you are interested in being part of this, please fire an email my way, and I will circulate you on related information. My thought is that such an endeavor should be low cost, low effort, and fun for all involved.
I think that if we align ourselves with the existing Lake Ontario Catalina Ass'n and this Association, we should have a pretty solid foundation to build from, although I do not see membership in both associations as a prerequisite of joining the fleet.
Again, if you are interested in joining such a venture as a charter member, please send an email my way.
I am trying to spend more time doing and less time keyboarding, so I may not see responses here - email is preferred.
