Not a trail and daysail type of trip, something more like an extended cruise from Sofla to the chesapeake. ie. Leaving the truck and trailer at home for several months.
One of the issues we deal with on our short cruises is wet laundry.
Any ideas on how to deal with laundry on looooooong trips?
that would work to launder clothing, they also sell a dryer!
Right now, when we go on our trips, we have a laundry bag (think string vest) to put dirty laundry. But if we were on a longer trip, that would not be appropriate, wet clothing would start to stinky really quickly.
I'm thinking that the trip would involve a lot of day sails from Point n to m but not all points would have a marina to wash and dry out laundry.
If you have wet laundry, the rails and lifelines make a good clothes line. For wet, dirty laundry, hang them to dry then store them in a mesh laundry bag until you get to a laundry facility. The Michigan Harbors guide list marinas around the state which lists amenities for each each, including laundry.

Is it 'acceptable' in marinas or frowned upon?

Bring heavy duty clothes pins or you may lose your favorite shirt. Wet clothes are heavy and will hang nicely - by the time they dry out they'll get carried away by the slightest breeze. Don't ask me how I know but old King Neptune has a few of my things...
