With the suburban, its 6 km from our house to the marina. The Marina is the 2500 series, so a little heavier than most. No trouble braking, and fine for acceleration. Highest speed we get up to is only about 60 km/h though, and no real grades to speak of.
For longer tows we have a family member with a dually pickup used to tow highway trailers around the golden horseshoe. Once again - so much tow vehicle that the boat presents a non-issue.
