So we made some nice improvements in the spring of 2013, and I am happy to say they all greatly improved our sailing/boating experience.
I remove the single port clutch and replaced it with a triple XAS, on that clutch we have the outhaul, with a new line on it, Jib furling, and the single line reefing. The reefing has blocks on the sail, and works really well; the tack goes down first and all. I finally have the leverage to trim the sail with the outhaul. We had the rear berth cushion recovered, and we added a ½ of a high density foam on top, and we added an interlocking rubber matt under the cushion to block moisture. I used Marine Tex to finally fix (permanently) the rear berth leak from the starboard cubby. The battery area was bone dry when I removed the battery! We changed the water pump, and had the motor tuned so now it idles real low.
Great season, no issues, what to do next year?
