Yes I have seen it. When it was done people thought he was nuts. My brother-in-law's father was an ore boat captain. He was captain of the Walter S Sterling. It was Cleveland Cliffs flag ship. I was on board once and the cabins were beautiful. The original owner wanted to set it up as a B&B, but he couldn't get the zoning permits.
It's been there a long time and is striking. Our local paper had a big spread on it a couple of years ago in the Sunday "Leisure" section gorgeous interior and it was available for weekly or weekend rental. A weekend cost about as much as my Catalina.
