I am taking out the folding door in the head. There is nothing wrong with it except for hitting my head on the overhead beam that it connects to. I thought that there was a thread here that showed somebody changing to a solid door. I looked but haven't found it. As I am changing my galley to a wrap around counter top I want to change the door at the same time.

Wes, I think that was me...I've changed laptops and will look on my storage drive and see if I can find any pictures.
Wes, here is one picture, email me at tcurran32766 at gmail dot com if you want all of them.
I always threatened to take a hammer to the head knocker on my Catalina 30 but the wife wouldn't let me, so I was real happy with the job the PO did on the C25 when I bought it.
I am taking pictures as I go while making the new galley. Will post soon I hope. It's a make 1 piece at a time thing as there is no real square corners. (Like an old house)
Wes, Could I have the accordion door that you are removing? My new boat has a ratty old blanket hung up there instead. If yours is in good shape and is not already spoken for, I would love to talk to you. Cheers, Scott

Thanks again Tom. <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">
What I have never understood about doors is the gap at the bottom. Most women do not want their ankles with their panties around them visible from the rest of the boat. We found curtains which can be hemmed to fit the curve of the sole to be a much more private arrangement.

Frank, can't comment on other women, but the ones I sail with or guests were just happy to have a porta potty on board. Even on the W25 that has a door for the head, unless I'm in the cabin, she'll leave the door open for the extra room (and no, she's not a big lady).
