I agree. I haven't found anything that doesn't stick out that far. I have a friend with a machine shop and might have him make one. However, I would rather just buy one. I do know something has to be done because the current set up is unacceptable.
The C-250 became available sometime during 1994 but I don't know if any '94 model numbers were used or if the numbers started with '95s.
I placed my order at Thanksgiving '95 for a WB without wheel thinking that a lead of three months might be needed and I'd have the boat commissioned for the start of the '96 season.
My dealer called about a week later and explained that exactly what had been ordered except having a wheel was about to come off the line. Initially the dealer inquired if I'd like to upgrade in order to take a quicker delivery and after declining, it was offered at no cost for the wheel and I accepted. Delivery was in middle January. The boat was built in late '95 but had a '96 hull number. It is #224 and has the integral molded motor mount.
Why the wheel was given free, I can't say for certain. The dealer had said that if accepted a delivery date had been set. My take on that was it might have been due to having an available spot on some scheduled shipment.
