Enjoy, went Thursday and had a great day. First time I remember not coming home with a bag a of goodies. Was looking for a couple of things but struck out. As always, wandering from sailboat to sailboat dreaming of what could be is worth the trip.
There is no WM store at the convention center, just a few employees handing out flyers and a small display; the employees kept pushing going to the stores or ordering online. I guess it's not worth the costs of setting up a large display anymore.

Wow, I guess they have a new marketing manager that has bent to pressure to keep costs low but was unable to explain the concept of Branding!
And my understanding is that Boat US has taken the opposite tack, will find out this morning.
Unfortunately, cannot make it down this year. Hopefully, it will be better than the St Pete show was in December. It turned out to be smaller than in years past. There were far less boats on display.
Davy...I noticed that at Miami too. Both St Pete and Miami just didn't seem to have the same feel as in the past. Less vendors, less boats, etc. Miami was a little better than St Pete, but not worth the extra price of admission. To me this year's Miami felt like the St Pete show in the past.

They usually bring 3 to 5 boats, I do not remember seeing them at the December St Pete show.

Nope...IP was absent in Miami as well. Thought it was strange they weren't at St Pete since they are right there in Largo. Not even a Blue Jacket in Miami.
We sat through the Blue Water Cruising Weather Seminar presented Chris Parker Chief Forecaster - Marine Weather Center
He did a really good job of making sense of this complex subject. The Seminar was 1 hour, but I don't think anyone would have complained if it had been 2hours!
