Looking for a C25 Mainsail. Would like it to be nearly new or in excellent condition.
Looking to sell the nearly new (condition 8 on scale of 1-10) J27 Main sail which I have been using reefed. Works great but Its time I get one that really fits.
The tall rig main dimensions are: luff 27.66 ft., foot 9.58 ft. If you want to sail with a bimini, I recommend a bit shorter luff, like a Capri 25 main, which is about a foot shorter. Maybe you can find a loft that will do a trade for your J27 main.

(We don't know your vintage.)
But I've wondered: With the TR and sliding gooseneck, if you raise it a foot, where is it relative to the opening (or "gate") in the kerf? I wouldn't want to trust gate plates to hold it under load.
On our TR, I kept the gooseneck about an inch below the gate with the main fully hoisted. Reefing and raising it for the bimini meant using a second slide stop and positioning the boom above the gate. Not ideal, so I tried to work it out to leave the boom just barely below the gate, and with my relatively short bimini, 36" tall, from our C-22, the boom would just barely clear or sometimes slightly touch the bimini when we tacked.
