Thanks Dave. I think it was not clear that this new feature (just added in the past 2 days) allows Members to search for <u>Images</u>.

The Photo Gallery, which is open to the public, has the option to search for Albums and images.

I had wanted to include an image, that someone else had uploaded, into a Forum Post. There was not an option to do that.

This new feature, the Image Search, allows Members to search for individual images, with the option to get the code to include them in a Forum post or to list other images uploaded by that member.

Of course, it does depend upon the images having appropriate descriptions. Just a hint! When uploading images, take the time to add contextual text to the Title and Caption of the image.

I'm working on locating images by Geo Location (that's why the Image Edit option, found in 'Manage My Images' now includes a Lat & Long selector).

Eventually we will have an Ap that allows upload from a Mobile device, and if available the upload will include the GPS location.

During that sunset, the Admiral and I had a picnic dinner with a glass of wine, while at anchor, as we heard the soulful Tedeschi-Trucks blues band!!! They were great!!! If you don't know them, listen to [url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxaineCMv38"]this.[/url]

There was no blues festival scheduled for Sandy Point State Park on the Bay this last May, 2014, though. Maybe next year.

Promoting this new feature.

I used the (Members only) Image Search to find images that included the word 'Keel'

The search for the word 'Keel' listed 35 images, but of course, the list does not include images that have no Title or Caption, so I'm encouraging Members to take the time to include contextual text with their images when uploading to the Members area.

We now have over 2,200 images that have been uploaded, and new images are uploaded every week. That makes our site one of the most affluent when it comes to image content. This month alone we have delivered 107,000 image views.

Over time this will become a huge resource to Owners of our boats, not only do they show the intricacies of the workings of our boats, but also the wide range of venues and experiences of our Association Members.

Are your images showing up in the search results?

Login to the Members area and click on 'Image Search New'

Update: Despite very little use of the Image Search feature, this month has been a banner month for image deliveries.
