Hi, I've got some teak mounts attached to my hull inside the port lazarette. Does anyone know what these are for? Are they for storing an outboard motor?
If they are for storing an outboard, I think I'll simply remove them as they are often in the way.
Yeah, no mounts inside mine either... in fact its open and cavernous... making it unusable as a fuel locker, also a potential quick fill point for water in a broach... which is why I went to the sea-dog latches...

Thanks for the idea. Those latches look pretty neat. Did you use the short stainless ones or the longer chrome version? How did you secure them to the lazarette hatch cover? As I recall they are extremely thin...
