Did a search here for anti-seize and nothing came up.

I am drilling out some seized ss screws in my mast and will have to re-tap.

Is there a "goto" marine product to keep ss screws from seizing in an aluminum component?

Dissimilar metals=corrosion. You just need an insulator between the two. You can put some silicon or lock-tite blue( not the red) on the threads before assembly. This will keep the screws from coming loose but can be taken apart later.

Thanks Gerry, Scott and Dave.

We always like to purchase the best products for our baby. But $40 for 2 oz. of TefGel is a little over the top compared Permatex Loc-Tite or Anti-Seize. Perhaps we'd spring for TefGel in a saltwater environment.

Yeah! Called local West Marine store (Pgh) today and they don't stock any corrosion prevention product - imagine that!

Too bad Permatex didn't say "for marine use" on the Anti-Seize package, else I would have purchased the bottle I had in my hands yesterday!

Perhaps I'll use Anti-Seize on the port screws and Loc-Tite on the starboard. Only problem is remembering which is which in 5 years!

Not sure why you need 2 oz, unless you have a few thousand screws to protect. The 20cc syringe is $25, and can be web ordered and shipped to local WM. It will last me a couple decades.

It's expensive, but I just sprung for some because the Loc-Tite was not working as well as I had hoped. I took a screw out that I had put in a couple years ago, and saw some white aluminum oxide along with the dried Loc-Tite dust. This is in a totally freshwater environment.

I checked at Amazon Marketplace too, but their price after sales tax and shipping was only $2 less than WM, and I had $20 of bonus dollars to use at WM, so I went with them.
