Has anyone gone to the Annapolis boat show? Where do you park? How do you get around? I've been to Annapolis before and I plan to stay in Easton. KJ

I always park at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial football Stadium, where the Naval Academy plays. It's located at 550 Taylor Ave., Annapolis, Md. 21401. There's a charge to park there ($10.), but it includes continuous, free shuttle bus service all day to and from the boat show from 9am until one hour after the show closes. You could try to find curbside parking, but Annapolis is a very old city with narrow streets that was planned without any thought of on street parking.

The show has been presented so many years that they have it well organized. I have attended about 9 years, and never bought tickets in advance, and the ticket lines aren't bad. But, you can buy tickets in advance at this link. http://www.annapolisboatshows.com/united-states-sailboat-show/

I did not go to the owners party last year, because I could not figure out how to get back to my car at the stadium when the buses dont run. I think I will bring 2 bicycles this year. the party is at 6pm sat at the catalina booth.

The sail boat show is a great show. Just seeing all those "sticks" in such tight quarters is a real treat. I have managed to find street parking a couple of times. Is there a NAVY home football game that weekend if so the stadium parking probably won't happen

Thanks for the warning. We'll be prepared on Saturday.

This year, as in many years through the show's history, a Navy football game will occupy the stadium parking on Saturday, October 11, 2014. As always, electronic traffic signs will direct show attendees to convenient parking on Riva Road. Free bus service will run continously between those locations and the show gates.

Parking is also available at Eastport Elementary School – a short walk from Eastport to downtown historic Annapolis.

I will be at the show on Saturday arriving around 930am-1000am. I will be wearing my "Good Old Boat" blue hat. Of course, if it is raining, it will be under my hood. By the way, rain does not stop sailors coming to the boat show - They will ALL be there!

We are here. Parked on the street in Eastport. Rain just slowed, and radar says it should be the last of it. Heading for the ballroom for the inspection seminar.

Who is here today?
