Cruising Design currently makes the CDI Flexible Furler line offered by Catalina and used by many of our members. Earlier, they made a "continuous line" furler that was not intended for reefing--just complete furling. (The line was a loop that went around a sheave that was in place of the more common drum, with both "ends" led to the cockpit.) This doesn't appear to be either, but it appears to be an older model.
One warning involving some older, metal-foil CDI furlers: I've heard that the fasteners that hold the metal sections together, which tend to be lost or damaged over time, are no longer made or available. CDI's Flexible Furler line has a continuous plastic foil that apparently holds up well to raising, lowering, storing, and transporting the mast. Older CDI models are evidently problematic.
ETA: A quick Google on "Cruising Design Reefer 1" yielded some questions and searches for documentation on other forums, with no answers. You're in good company.
