For those who might be interested (and I don't receive any benefit from this info) APS in Annapolis is having their January rigging sale. See APS sale for more info. 25% off according to their ad. Your mileage may differ.

Good people at APS. Andy is very knowledgeable, attentive.

They also meet other vendor's pricing - even sale pricing.

My thought in posting this is folks generally start thinking about rerigging and new lines around the end of Feb or early March. By then, any midwinter sales are long over so the time is now to think about buying your supplies and not wait till the rush. I found 1/2 price halyards and sheets at my local WestMarine when they were doing their store consolidation in mid-January. Got a lot of other good deals at that time, so it's the best time for sails, relighting, lines, lettering and paint.

Sweet, wish I saw this earlier. Just ordered 70' of 1/4" ULS Yacht braid-Yale to run my topping lift to a block up top and back down to the cockpit. Picking that up tomorrow!

No problem. Good that you are running the topping lift back down to the cockpit. This way you'll be able to draw the boom well up to get it out of the way while on the hook or in the slip. I do that on my 16ft daysailor and avoid getting bonked in the bean when waked by stinkpotters.
