With our portable always-networked devices we have a powerful resource in our pockets. They have mobile databases where we can create projects within which we can create to do lists. Now when I stop in the big box or dollar store killin' time, I check my list and can usually find a few items on my to do list. In the past I'd have had to actually THINK! Or go find my notepad. More often than not it would have been left on my bureau or in my other slacks. Are you using Evernote or an email notepad to keep track of your boating projects?

I use Evernote extensively, including boating to-do lists. I have it on smartphone and all of my computers. If I have a lot of typing to do, I'll enter it on my computer because of the keyboard, but will access it from my phone on the boat. I also use the check-box feature a lot so I can keep track of what I've completed and what I have left. Cut/paste is also easier on the computer, so if I need to re-order my list I'll do it on the computer.
So far I've been able to get by with the free version of Evernote. They just announced a new tier structure to their subscriptions which provides some more affordable options than before, so I'll consider upgrading if I have to.

I have been using my Yahoo mail notes, they appear on my iPad and on my PC. I just started using the sheets portion of my Google Drive (been using that to store Word & PDF docs I need on multi devices for some time), but if you can access sheets while offline like myYahoo notes, that's handy...

My fav prog is Open Office. I use that on all the machines at home (including the new yesterday Dell 23" All in one PC after our 2006 Gateway died in the morning. )
I'm reviewing a new version of the To do list App that I had on my old tablet, will let you guys know how it turns out.
Having data in the cloud works really well for me, access it at home, in the office, on the road or on the boat.
