Researching previous threads I am curious [pros/cons] if anyone has installed a rigid boom vang on a C250. Of particular interest is does this eliminate the topping lift, in particular on older model C250's. "Bear" on the hard in upstate N.Y. C250WB #089
Bear, I bought the Garhauer rigid vang last season and it works great. It does eliminate the topping lift. It also allows you to easily adjust sail shape. It's an easy install, relatively cheap price and a well made piece. Garhauer has the proper fitting for the boom. I think it's a worthwile purchase.
