Anyone ever try Deks Olje for exterior teak? If so, how did you like the results?

Hi John,

I used Deks for years on Snickerdoodle with pretty good results overall. I switched to Cetol about five years ago (to get more of an orange shellac look) and like it too. Both go on easily and last for about a year with minor touchups for line chafes and dings.

I used Deks Ole for years. As I recall it had a remarkable odor. How is the smell of Cetol?

It never bothered me... But I haven't used it below. I really like the look, having sanded everything bare and put on about 4 coats. Easy maintenance is the key.
