Why isn't there ever a Catalina 25 article in the Mainsheet? Should one of us submit one?

Do we still have an editor? I can't search for Brian to see if he's still active because :search hasn't worked for me for a long time. I don't know why. I've turned off ad and tracking blockers and used Firefox, but the results page always opens with no entries.

When I was editor I sent articles directly to Jim Holder.

If we currently have an editor, he should be able to tell you the technical requirements for an article, such as number of words. They especially need photos to accompany an article.

Moderator's Note: Please do not contact the Mainsheet Magazine directly.
Please contact Brian Gleissner ( mainsheet at catalina-capri-25s.org ) or
Russ Johnson ( commodore at catalina-capri-25s.org )

Seth,

Thank you for your interest in the Mainsheet magazine.
Yes, we are always looking for articles from our members.
Yes, we have a Mainsheet Editor.
We are looking for a volunteer to be the C25 Technical Editor.

Yes, back in the 1980's articles were submitted directly the Mainsheet magazine, but that process was changed over 20-years ago.

Here's some fun facts.
In the Mainsheet magazine there is an association contact page, where our association is listed.
On this website, there is an Officer and Staff page where all the contacts are listed.
http://www.catalina-capri-25s.org/officers.asp

I will be personally help answer your questions.
Please send me an email
Thank you, Russ Johnson

When I was editor the process to submit all articles and comments on our Assoc. went through a system where I had an ID and password that brought me to their text system, the text (ASCII) was uploaded into their system. I first uploaded a list of all articles and Assoc. page info then uploaded each item in that order. I was allowed 1500 words for featured articles plus pictures and almost that much for the Assoc. page
At that time the Mainsheet was about 65 pages plus the tech tips that ran 25 pages for a total of 90 pages. The current issue is a total of 48 pages.
