I have been using Petit ACP50 ablative bottom paint since my C250WK was first bottom painted by the dealer. It seems to work fine in my area during the first season. Two years ago, the second season left us with a fair amount of algae and growth. The paint rep said I should rough up the paint before launching the second season, so it can start the ablative process. Last year we gave it a fresh paint job. So this is our second time for the "second season".
Anyone know what grit sandpaper to use, and how much "roughing up" I need to do to properly activate the paint? Splash down in six days and counting.
Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions.
