From a thread on the C25 forum:

Admiral Karen Baumgart (aka Spike) is the new web editor (web master) for this site. We have downloaded all content and are formating everything for use with Microsoft FrontPage. We started this 2 weeks ago and are nearly ready to begin making actual changes. Karen is the editor, but like everything in this family, it is a partnership, so I will be helping, too.

If you want to add any content to the site, simply email it to either one of us.

If you have hard copy photographs and you would like them scanned and added to the site, please mail them (with your text content) to:

If you have any suggestions for adding to the site (for example a C25/C250 Best Maintenance Tips) or whatever, please reply to this thread or contact me by email. Perhaps we can increase the "Members Only" content to give greater incentives for joining up. I'd also like to add a "News" section and put lots more photos of C-25/250s up.

If you are ever in Dana Point, please stop by Dana East slip C-29 on the cove side and say "Hi" or watch for "Indiscipline" on the water.

Thank you. The Association has members spread all over this nation and IMO the only way to keep a “national” group together is on the web. Our web site and the forum is the lifeblood of the Assoc. Your work will be important keep us together.
I hope we can bring the web site and the articles in the Mainsheet together for all our members. I look forward to working with you.

Communication is the ultimate Tool!,thank you for taking this on and improving what we do. By the way...what kind of dog is that in the pic (and what is his/her name)?...I am on a mission to find the ultimate Boat Dog,

If you look carefully, you will see TWO dogs. Duncan is our mini-dachsund. I would nominate him as the ultimate boat dog - especially on a C25 where space is at a premium. Duncan loves to fish, is a great swimmer, is comfortable on a dinghy or kayak, doesn't mind being taken to a cold wet beach at midnight to do his business. He is friendly to people ashore (he can be protective of the boat). Duncan travelled with us on our 5000 mile year long cruise San Diego to the Bahamas. At 9 pounds you can easily get him out of trouble. He will make lots of friends ashore.

Merlin is our Jack Russel Terrier (or Jack Russel Terror as they are known to their owners). Merlin is also an excellent swimmer, and a good boat dog. He is hyper active and fiercly protective of the boat and his owners. There is no dog more fun to play on the beach with. But he is not very freindly ashore, intolerant of other dogs and other people, and barks constantly. Other JRTs can be quite sociable, but all are hyper and busy. We love him and he is in training for agility competition, so going sailing is good therapy to calm him down and help get him used to people.

Thanks indeed........without your volunteerism quality of life would suffer greatly.
You'll have to give yourself a special title though. I'm not a Navy guy, but there has to be a nice rank among the communications cadre......does Signal Officer look right? Input anyone? Instead of stars you could put three gold CRT's below it.....<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

Duncan is sitting on Karen's lap! He's dark, He looks like a shadow. He's small (8 to 9 lbs).
