I will be cruising to Penrose Point in the south sound on May 23 thru 26th Memorial day. I know there are a lot of Catalina sailers in the Tacoma to Olyimpia area. Come and joing the fun and raft up at Penrose. The crabing is good, oysters in the small bay, clams, Bonfire on the beach. There is a spit that dries out at low tide for the kids to explore. Picknic area and lawn by the beach, hiking trail and most importantly HOT showers in the campground. Our local Latitudes and Attitudes magazine cruising club will also be there. If you want to start the season off in style be there.

Well I see the post is being read but I dont see any replies. Its a great way to see what others have done on their boats and exchange ideas. Meet others with interest in Catalinas and sailing. Get to know the other owners in your area and exchange tips. Realy looking forward to seeing all of you there.

Hi Doug,
I should <img src=icon_smile_dead.gif border=0 align=middle> have the boat in the water by then. (Bottom job is at the grind blisters, epoxy stage. Done with the major scraping and sanding, whew!) If so, we'll try to make it up. Really enjoyed our get together last year!

There's a BBQ competition going on that weekend too, but I don't think I'll be able to talk my "partner in meat arson" to enter that one, otherwise I'd be there instead.
