For the first time this year I found myself with a day off when it wasn't raining and I didn't already have a long "to do" list. Misty, low clouds this morning, but probably wouldn't rain. By 8:30 I was on the boat with a new mop and a latte.
Scrubbed Noeta's decks, fired up the old Honda, checked all the fittings, lines, etc. She is ready to go.
This weekend's weather is suppossed to be rainy, and I have soccer games and dinner parties to attend, but the captain has issued order for all hands to be prepared for a sudden departure if the weather's good.

Ill be on the dock most of Saturday to Doug. Hope to see you there. Lots of plans for the summer. Oh and yes Noeta does look good. Ill probably have the pressure washer with me to clean off all the polen.
One other thing. Heads up on the EPA. They are counting how often the pump out is used. Seems the number of liveaboards we have doesn't compute to how little use it is seeing. We must all used the pump out or loose rights for liveaboards.

The live aboard issue is a hot item with me. Marge & I are planning to become liveaboards in a couple of more years so we have been following the BLM's actions to eliminate live aboards from Puget Sound with great interest. A number of liveaboards that I know don't use the head on thier boat when they are at the marina. They faithfully use the restrooms that are on the dock. Although I realize this is an important problem, I find it typical the EPA would judge all liveaboards by the actions of a few, many of whom aren't liveaboards but are recreational boaters.

We try to avoid using the head on Mental Floss just to avoid trying to find a working pump-out when we are out for an extended time. The places we like to frequent the pump-outs are seldom in working order.
