What is it you're looking to do? Replace black tubes and clean the tank? Or put in a pressure water system or a foot pump?
I replaced the tubing and washed out the tank with bleach water, dismantled the pumps and cleaned them out. The tubing is pretty self explanitory - trace where they go, disconnect and run new. The tank was under the starboard settee and was a tight squeeze getting out. Had to remove the fittings after disconnecting the tubing to get it to clear the opening.
The hand pump/faucet can be cleaned out. There's one large nut underneath, near where the inlet tube connects, holding it down to the counter. Once detached from the counter, there are a number of screws on the bottom to remove to get inside it.
I had a bad pump at the sink of my 77. The water tank was in fine shape and didn't require replacing. I put a s/s ball valve on the tank so if I had a leak it could be shut off at the source. I replaced the tubing with clear, braided, FDA approved material. Then I replaced the manual pump. Real easy job. It wouldn't be anything to go ahead and put in a pressurized system. Afternoon and you're finished. John on Ms Achsa
