Is there any big trick to cleaning up the interior teak? I am assuming any teak kit will do the trick if the wood is in good condition now? Just wanting to re-color it a bit to make it look like new.
Thanks.

Hi Jeff,

The easiest thing I've found for the teak plywood is Howard's "Restor-A-Finish" ... I use the "Golden Oak" ... here is a link to their website:

http://www.howardproducts.com/restora.htm

For the pinrails and other teak trim I think that teak oil, lemon oil, or tung oil produce the best results.

There are lots of things that work well ... I'm sure you'll get several other opinions. I suppose the most important thing is "just do it" ... no matter what you use, the results are worth the effort.

Good luck!

For the internal teak, we used starbrites Cleaner, brightner and oil package. Then we just essentially reoiled it every year.

I didn't know of anything better because I'm basically a newbie ...
but I went to Wal-Mart and bought some kind of Orange-oil type squirt-on wood treatment. Spray it on, wipe it off.
I figured the citrus smell would be nice.
The effect looked really nice.
My interior teak was in really fine condition.
(Why wouldn't it be in good condition, the sun and weather doesn't
hurt it.)
I was happy and it was simple to use.
Smelled nice too.
