Whatever you want to call it with a few mods one way or the other here is a nice quick project that realy helps in the cockpit. I made something very similar, but not as nice looking as yours. I have a few differences.

(1) I mounted it to the port stern rail, arranged so that it hangs mostly outboard, thus you can sit there without hitting your head on it.

(2) I made it of solid oak, with fiddles like yours, but without the little channels you have left in there. Probably a good idea for rinsing things down but I don't want to lose anything overboard - remember, mine hangs over the water.

(3) I don't have such a nice barbeque to put on top, but we have the propane magma barbeque hanging on the same port stanchion. The two are real handy together.

(4) I bought a cheap cutting board (starboard-like) to fit inside to use for bait, etc. Cost about $2.

(5) I have a single rail clamp so the table comes off in 1 second and stows in the lazerette.

Total cost $30 and 2 nights of pleasant wood work.

The table is stained, I don't want to varnish it because of scratches.

picked up all the hardware at the local hardware store. Oak with Oak side slats cut to fit, Two threaded J hooks bent open a bit to fit the rail and a few large area washers + 2 thumb screws knobs. Finished with 3 coats of cetol. Three day project. I bought the stainless BBQ on the internet for 1/2 the price of the Magma.
