Hello all,

I've been reading the C25 manual on this website, and I have a question about pumping out the holding tank. The manual says "Be sure inlet valve "AO is closed when the tank is being emptied." I'm assuming that the capital O was a typo, and it was supposed to read as inlet valve "A", but I looked all through the manual, and I can't find inlet valve "A". Is that the seacock under the v-berth?

Thanks all,

Ben

Most likely that is the valve, although it could also refer to the wet/dry valve on the head itself. The Guy pumping it out most probably would know...(then again its usually some high school kid with no seniority at the gas dock who gets the ass juice detail)

The guy pumping it out...you guys have somebody doing it for you? They're all self serve around here.
I keep the valve closed all the time and use fresh water to moisten the bowl. Then when you are pumping out, all you do is stick the disgusting nozzle in the hole and whoosh.

I don't know how your boat is set up but mine had two valves under the V-berth. The larger of the two was outflow and the smaller one was inlet for flushing. If in doubt close them all. I would close them all in any case. The Holding tank vent will alow you to empty or pump out the tank. Dont forget you may want to flush out the tank with another cycle of fresh water. This prevents the microbes in the lines from smelling up the boat. In addition once in a while put a few teaspoons of vegtable oil through the head. It will help the rubber in the pump assy to stay nice.

Yep - As probably expected, all of the yacht clubs have someone around to do the deed. Most of the marinas that have gas, will have the same attending manning the pump. Last year the charge for service was $0.00 if you docked at the marina - although we usually make a habit of tipping that kid a five just for hazard duty (no pun intended) pay.
