Last night we had thunderstorms and pretty heavy rain, continuing most of this morning. As it was tapering off I traveled to Orion to check on the recent starboard fwd window repair (recaulk) in the main cabin. Everything was (hosannah) perfectly dry. Therefore I recommend to those who do not care to do a complete window disassembly, with new Catalina provided flange moldings, that what appears to be an acceptable repair can be accomplished with auto/RV butyl tape, in conjunction with Lifeseal and a bit of elbow grease. I now find a very slight leak at my forward port window in the head, and that the port center thrubolt on the cabintop handrail is weeping, so more caulking will follow, fair winds, ron srsk Orion SW FL

Ditto - only I used a butyl that came in a caulk tube
