We bought Noeta 2 years ago without a survey or even pulling her out of the water. I swam under her before writing the check, but other than that we just hoped everything below the water was OK. Had divers clean the boat both summers. We pulled her out of the water for the first time yesterday. Her bottom was fairly clean, no dents, no rust or gaps at the keel, and no other damage. Spent the morning tapping every inch of the hull looking for blisters. Found something that might be a blister, but it's only about 1/4" big so I'm not going to worry about it. In a day or two she'll be floating again with a couple new coats of bottom paint ($18/ft) and a few coats of wax on the hull (lotsa elbow grease/ ft). I'm posting this because I just had to tell someone how happy we were to see the condition of the hull. Tried to tell a non-boating friend of mind, but I think I lost him at bottom's good- no blisters!

Hey Doug glad to here your having such fun doing the bottom. Wish you had given me a call. Might have saved you some elbow grease. Buffer & pads could have been your for a while. If you ever decide to go whole hog let me know. I have all the sanding gear and required vacume attachments. See you on the water soon.
