I hope to post more of the projects that I've already done soon. I installed bomar opening ports in the head last weekend and have not taken pics yet. Once I get her cleaned up again, I hope to get all new exterior/interior shots that reflect all the changes I've made since the haul out.

May I ask.. where did you locate the transducers...
i.e. how far forward etc ?

Currently maintaining two holes in the water...'77 Venture 23 and new to the family,
'78 Catalina 25

transducers are located on the port side in the vberth locker directly amidship from the thruhull drain. The depth is forward of the speed approx 5 inches. If I had to do it over again, I would have put one on port and one on starboard, but the floor of the vberth locker had some irregular build up on the stbd side and I just didn't have it in my heart to grind away more fiberglass. I've used both and they work perfect with zero leaks. So nice to have speed info and depth info in the bow instead of the DPO's after transducer locale!!!! Also, If you locate the transducers there in the bow as far aft in that locker, they do not come out of the water even on the most heel that I feel comfortable allowing. I've sailed on my friends Newport 33 and they mounted the knot meter paddle wheel on the port side about 1.5 ft from the keel and about 1 foot ahead of it and when we're hit with heavy air, his knot meter either is inaccurate or stops reading.

i am in the process of my haul out... no time to post but i am taking alot of pics so i'll have plenty to show!

removed the keel today...

gotta get some sleep.. tommorow is a big day...

Nice Interior! Gives me some incentive to do something with mine.
Except for the settee backs and the carpet which I installed this spring, my interior is all original so its seen better days. Right now it will have to wait till fall since my boat units need to go towards new sails.
On the plus side my first mate is my four year old son who hasn't quite found his sea legs yet so the occasional spill(plus when the captain forgets to secure the cooler)doesn't take me away from the helm to clean up the mess!
When the time comes to redo my interior I'll be sure and reference your site for inspiration and ideas.

Patrick, thanks for the info on the transducer location. I just got a Raytheon bi-data that's going in very soon.
