Stowage. There are (4) 14" boards, the stack together in pairs, and barely fit through the step. But by taking that cushion out I was able to get the entire queen bed (sans mattress) stowed.
Took a test nap on it, but will bring aboard the mattress and try it for a couple nights next weekend. Nice thing is there's enough floor space on both sides for a person to sit down or stand up and change.
Doug: As always your work is impeccable. Good job it looks realy great. A lot less parts than I used by having slats. Ill bet it makes for a lot better sleeping. See you on the water. Heading for Blakely Harbor this weekend. Oh you will also find that the queen size air matress will fit crossways just right.
