I'm ready to bolt my keel & pivot back into the hull. I noticed when I took the keel hangers out that they weren't bedded in with anything... just bolted to the inserts.
I guess the boat has managed the previous 25 years pretty well without any bedding compound, but is seems like it wouldn't hurt to bed the pivots with 101 or 4200 when I bolt them up.
Any thoughts/recommendations from the community on this?

I can't think of a reason why that would be helpful and it's already tricky enough to get the bracket to lower evenly out of the trunk without adding some goop. I would settle for using the locktite on the bolts and be happy it all fits back together smoothly.
I think Catalina says to use LocTite on the threads of the pivot support bolts. I slathered the bolts liberally with polysulfide sealant adhesive before installing and torquing.
I would be particularly concerned with preventing any water from getting up in the threads, while at the same time not using anything that might contribute to a bolt twisting off the next time they need to come out.
