It looks like my 81 C25 has a knotmeter and depth finder that are the same model and may be the originals. I have seen the " sr mariner" brand mentioned many times on this site. Was that the brand that catalina used? My depth sounder works fine and my knotmeter shows the number zero. I feel I need a transducer or pinwheel and it will work fine. There are no brand names on the units. Any advice.

Have you checked your current pinwheel? I have to break mine loose every so often, because of the algae growth in our warm water lake. I scrub the bottom regularly, but don't always get up inside the pinwheel housing adequately.
