Dave Eastburn: I know about the Hondas--as a 2002 owner, I've been pointing that out here.

A dock with 6' at MLW sounds pretty neat! You can afford the boat if you want it badly enough--that's quite a trip you're talking about! But then again, retired guys can do it as fast or as slowly as they want... My retirement got delayed by the market dive--maybe one of these days I'll be a Wal-Mart greeter...

I also have an inboard on my C25. It is a Volvo Penta gas engine, which gave me all kinds of headaches. Including the one that everytime I needed to have work done on it..it had to be hauled out of the water. Anyway, I did like it, but it is costly to replace..around $6-7k. So I replaced it with a 2002 Honda 9.9. Here are some pictures I took awhile ago. Oh, did I mention fumes.

Dark picture, but gives you the idea of how it is positioned under the cockpit.

Another picture of how it is postitioned.

Clearer picture of the engine.

Ok, this picture makes it look like to start it would be easy from the cockpit...not true...hard for me, impossible for my wife.
