Catalina Direct makes them, with a limited number of fabric choices (like a couple of velours). You send them the old covers as patterns. They make new covers and foam.
Most auto upholstery shops will do them--we used a shop that does autos and boats. They had tons of fabrics--we chose a Sunbrella upholstery fabric that is not at all like Sunbrella's exterior canvas--much softer and more attractive. We had them increase the thickness of all seat bottom and berth cushions by an inch, using medium-density foam. (High density or close-cell foam is really too hard.) They also added a fiber layer on top of the foam for a nicer feel. I took our old cushions to them, and they reproduced the sizes and shapes of each one. From what I could determine, the cost was basically per cushion--regardless of size (labor being the largest component).
The total bill was considerable--almost 20 boat units, but this is what made the Admiral feel like she really had part ownership of the boat. That's a good investment!
My recollection is that CD's price would have been about $300 less, including shipping. We appreciate what we got for the extra three units.
