Does anyone know where I can find a replacement NiCad battery pack for the Ray100 VHF handheld radio?, My battery pack just will not hold a charge & I want to replace it...the RAY100 manuel does not help and I checked the Ray Marine website. I Checked the Web but when you search for NiCad Batteries you get tons of sites and the first 20 did not help,
thanks for your help,
Steve

Where'd you get it?

Google gave me http://store.hamiltonmarine.com/browse.cfm/4,7942.html

I'm guessing Raytheon dropped their handheld models.

I won a Ray 100 vhf as a door prize at the Catalina Rendezvous a couple years ago. The original nicad pack seemed to lose its ability to hold a charge rather quickly, but maybe I wasn't keeping the charge up properly. It, like your's, now holds no charge.

I would suggest you use the alkaline pack which came with the radio. Mine, however, did not work from the beginning, so I sent it to Raymarine and they fixed it -- no charge! I now use the alkaline pack exclusively and it holds a charge longer than the nicad ever did.
