When you don't hear from someone on this forum for a while, they'va A: Lost Interest or B: Gone sailing.....
Sailing we did, a week long about 250 NM around the Chesapeake. Tilghman Island, Annapolis, Baltimore, a ten hour night sail back down to Tilghman, Oxford, St. Michaels we had a blast.
Caught some sprinkles, but luckily we were tied up in port for the two big boomers, AC going. And as they say in the old country, "It's dry between showers"
Speaking of AC, the WalMart special in the companionway did it's job very well. The Admiral was most pleased. It's just a #$^%& pain in the rear to get it in/out of the v-berth storage (move everything) and it's a pain to climb over getting in and out of the boat, especially for the kids. I'm very seriously thinking about building a real one into the boat......Tie up-plug in-hit the switch
Also, I'm going to have to put some serious effort into building storage cubbies etc for all the loose stuff floating around the boat.....
We'll just redo the list and get busy, meanwhile I'm thinking about the next trip.......
Eye candy indeed! I used to sail the Chesapeake and have been to all those wonderful places. I'm sure you managed to munch a few crabs too! Thanks for the enjoyable post -- I like the drifter.
