We hauled our boat yesterday in preparation for the swing to wing conversion. Much to my relief I only found a few small blisters. I had expected alot of blisters.

Catalina Direct is shipping our keel to a facility in Largo, Florida where we will pick it up ourselves. A great arrangement for us. I will do the best I can to document and post the process.

Anybody need any measurements or photos of a C25 bottom or keel? My boat is on the trailer in my back yard for the next couple of weeks.

Hi Chris,

Glad to hear the big day approaches and wish you the best. One suggestion, memorize the swing's performance. You will soon be deluged with questions to compare the performance of the two. I could never come up with any significant comparison. Just overwhelmed with the solidity of the new configuration.

I seem to think that she points higher with a heel of 15 and that she is faster with the stern squating and more stable when the bow is down. All of which must be due to the horizontal plane of the wing. Much more than that I don't know or care. Just satisfied be be rid of the swing's requirements.

Godspeed, you are the envy of many, me included. Is the location in Largo the Catalina Eastcoast factory office? I had some conversations with them about wings and shipping and they treated me as if I was a Martian and they had never heard of a wing. Could you comment to the list as to the shipping costs, or, if that is inapropriate, would you backchannel me at ronrrya@hotmail.com? Hope springs eternal, ron srsk Orion in Venice, not too far from Largo

Has anyone removed the swing keel head trunk after making the switch. It would open up the sole.

Frank,

I have the dinette model. Not sure it would make much difference? Once we actually pick up our keel and start into the project, I am sure I will be posting alot. I will take lots of photos.

I hope to make the switch. Maybe there should be a logo made up.
